We have a choice of two ‘One Week Self-Guided Walks’. The term ‘week’ refers to the number of nights you are accommodated for – so your first day is for getting here, settling in and preparing for the first day of your walk the following morning.
The ‘Standard One Week Self-Guided Walk ’ - a linear walk that involves walking set distances over six days between accommodations
The ‘3 Base One Week Self-Guided Walk ’ – a walk that makes use of base locations, allowing for flexibility in both the route and the daily distance being covered
It is possible to complete the whole 84 miles (135kms) of the National Trail in six ‘walking days’; however, this does entail walking an average daily distance of 14 miles (22kms) everyday for those six days.
Generally speaking, this option is a one preferred by those whose main interest is to walk the trail and it has the benefit of fitting within a one-week timescale.
Both the ‘Standard’ and the ‘3 Base’ One Week Self-Guided Walks can be arranged to take in either the whole of the Hadrian’s Wall Path National Trail, or just part of it.
