Overview
Overall, you will cover (self-guided and under your own steam) approximately 90 miles in six days - from one side of the country to the other. Roughly half of that distance will be on your bike and the other half on foot. In order to achieve this, you need to be relatively fit (ie capable of walking up to 15 miles in a day) and be comfortable riding a bike on road or track (ie practiced at riding one recently and knowing how to sort out minor bike adjustments - eg blowing up a tyre, changing the height of a saddle and on the slim chance it may be necessary, be able to change a tyre).
In effect, a Cycle Trek along the route of Hadrian's Wall is not only a fun and enjoyable way to traverse the country, it is also the best way to discover and explore the many fascinating sites of interest along the way.
