We arrange accommodation with over a hundred different accommodation providers and we keep in regular contact with all of them - not just over the telephone, but physically visiting them on a frequent basis. We know who works where, who has just left and who has just arrived. We don't have a 'one size fits all' policy, but cater for the preferences of our clients - whether it's a bunk in a converted barn, or a four-poster bed in a castle.

Generally the level of accommodation you can choose from fits within five categories in our I - V Denarii system, which you can read more about on the 'Accommodation' page. However, there are certain locations where not every one of those five levels will be available.

When a particular level of accommodation is not available, we offer clients the choice of changing the level (either up or down) for that particular night and adjust the cost accordingly - which on average works out at between £5 - £10 per person (as either a refund or a supplement). In effect, all we're passing on are the costs charged by the accommodation provider.

We're currently collating up-to-date interior and exterior images of various accommodations that we arrange for clients, however bear in mind that this can only tell part of the story.

We also take into account location, not just in relation to the Trail or its proximity to the pub for an evening meal, but also how it will logically fit in to your itinerary (where you're walking from and to). Then of course there's consideration for the kind of hospitality and service you will receive from the accommodation provider, as well as the client feedback we receive from those that have gone before you.
