Hadrian's Wall - the Company based on Hadrian's Wall

Hadrian's Wall are the Specialist Providers of Products and Services related to Hadrian's Wall and the surrounding area.

The business at its core is a family affair, based right in the middle of the Wall, having been first conceived by Hadrian's Wall Ltd's Managing Director, Gary Reed, back in the 1980's. At that time, Gary was living in a 250 year-old cottage constructed of recycled Wall in the village of (yes, you've guessed it) Wall. As part of his personal fitness training, he used to run along Hadrian's Wall and what always amazed him was the fact that he was generally speaking the only person there.

There were of course specific sites that folk visited, such as Housesteads, but no-one seemed to be making the effort to see the Wall in all its grandeur - an amazing feat of engineering, constructed the best part of 2000 years earlier and set within a fantastic landscape, inhabited by people with a unique cultural identity.

From then on, there was an intention to encourage others to come, not just to see, but experience everything that Hadrian's Wall and the surrounding area has to offer.
