1 Day On the Wall

In a Full or Half Day you could take a Guided or Self-Guided Walk along the central section of Hadrian's Wall, covering 5 or 6 miles of the Trail in four hours and double that figure in a full day - visits to Housesteads, Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museuem, all being possible.

On a Bike you could take a nice country lanes and off-road excursion between Steel Rigg and Walltown. On a Bank Holiday Weekend you could do a Guided Bike & Hike with a bike ride from Steel Rigg to the Roman Army Museum and then a walk back via Walltown, Cawfields and Winshields Crags.

On a Safari Tour you could traverse 40 miles along the 'Best of the Wall' for a series of short walks, or you could venture 'Off the Wall' into the North Pennines or into the Scottish Borders.
